The newly-appointed Commander, Security Forces - Wanni, Major General Dammika Jayasinghe on Tuesday (26) made several familiarization visits to state agencies and paid courtesy calls on provincial monks and clergy in the Wanni. At first, he visited the District Court and the District Secretariat in Vavuniya and met a representative group of officials.

Afterwards, he called on several senior monks in Vavuniya, Madukanda, Etambagaskada and Thirappanmaduwa temples and received their blessings. The monks invoked blessings on the new appointment chanting Seth Pirith.

General Officer Commanding, 56 Division, Senior Officers in under command formations of the SFHQ-Wanni too joined those visits. |
