Major General Deshapriya Gunawardena of Gemunu Watch assumed office as Director General Directorate of Infantry at the Army Headquarters on Thursday (14) in a simple ceremony.

The newly-appointed Director General symbolized the formal acceptance of the new office by signing an official document.
