By positively responding to a request made by Wethara Rural Hospital, troops of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) completely renovated the OPD section of the hospital with their skilled manpower and technical know-how within two weeks.

Specialist Dr Mahendra Ekanayake turned to the Army for assistance for the requirement.

Those CES troops started the renovation process on 1 May 2020 and completed the project before it was officially vested back in the hospital authorities on Thursday (14).

On the directions of Brigadier R. Ganegoda, Director Corps of Engineer Services, the project was supervised closely by Lieutenant Colonel P.N Wijesooriya, Commanding Officer, 4 (V) CES. |
