Batticaloa Lions Club Wants Army Troops to Distribute Relief Packs

70 dry ration packs sponsored by the Lions Club of Batticaloa were distributed among 70 families of Koonjankulam village through troops of the 233 Brigade on Saturday (16). Members of the Lions Club after contacting the Brigade Commander requested the Army to coordinate the distribution of those relief packs in a fair manner without letting them fall into wrong and unwanted hands.
The General Officer Commanding 23 Division, Major General A.G.D.N Jayasundara, Lions club members, Commanding Officer of 6th Battalion of the Gajaba Regiment, Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and civilians assisted the distribution programme. |
