Leading members of Lions Club of District 306C/1 met Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army & Head of the National Operational Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva this evening (15) at the Army Headquarters and gifted a stock of 5000 face masks for use among Tri-forces personnel, engaged in prevention of COVID-19 pandemic in different sectors.

Lion Mahinda Perera, together with Lion Sunil Liyanarachchi and few Club members donated the stock to the Commander of the Army saying that all of them are well aware of risky roles, being pursued by the armed forces in the management of COVID-19 prevention projects.

Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva thanked the donors and appreciated their concern for members of the armed forces. |
