Major General W.D.C.K Costa assumed office as the 11th Commander, Security Forces-Central during a simple ceremony, giving prominence to religious observances at his office at the Security Force HQ- Central in Diyatalawa on Saturday (11).

He formally left his signature for an official document and signified the acceptance of his new office before a representative gathering of Officers and Other Ranks. After a simple tea arrangement, he addressed all Officers and Other Ranks serving the SFHQ-Central. He succeeded Major General Laksiri Waduge who retired from service a few days ago.

Major General Costa was the General Officer Commanding, 64 Division before he took over this new appointment. |
