Troops of the 65 Division under command to the Security Force Headquarters -Kilinochchi, together with a group of donors during 6 - 7 April distributed a total of 500 dry ration packs, to the value of Rs 1.5 million among needy families in 42 Grama Niladhari Divisional areas as part of their community-oriented projects, being carried out at this critical hour of the society.

To be in line with the guidelines given by Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Major General Jayantha Gunaratne, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi instructed the 65 Division troops to coordinate and assist the project, sponsored by Watawala Tea Ceylon Ltd and its active ally, Massone BTL Pvt Ltd management and staffers.

General Officer Commanding, 65 Division, Major General D.M.H.D Bandara organized the mobile service for distribution with his troops. Each relief pack contained rice, dhal, sugar, tea, soya packets, onions, potatoes, tinned fish, sprats and salt packets. |
