Low income families in Kachkuvary, Pudiyakolane, Panikkakulam and Olumadu areas in Kilinochchi were provided with pre-cooked meal packets and drinking water on Thursday (26) by troops of the 574 Brigade under the 57 Division of the SFHQ-KLN since they were facing hardships with the imposition of curfew to arrest spread of COVID - 19 pandemic.

Simultaneously, an awareness announcement through Public Address system was conducted in 571 and 572 Brigade areas to educate the general public on health practices and adequate preventive measures, meant to arrest the spread of the epidemic.

This programme was conducted by on the directions of the Commander, Security Forces -Kilinochchi, Major General Jayantha Gunaratne and under the close supervision of Major General B.P.S de Silva, General Officer Commanding of the 57 Division. |
