14 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops conducted a donation programme on Saturday (14) at Mayawewa Community Hall at Gajabapura with sponsorship provided by Mr Chandana Dariju, President, Lions Club & Mr. Ravindra Dariju of Leo Club in Ja Ela.

Organized under the guidance of the Commander of the 621 Brigade, 50 deserving families received dry ration packs and students were gifted with school accessories. The village is situated in a far remote Mayawewa village, off Gajabapura area where poverty level is very high.

All the items were distributed at a simple ceremony in the presence of the 621 Brigade Commander.
