The visiting Russian Federation’s Commander-in-Chief of the Land Forces, General of the Army, Oleg Salyukov, just a few hours after his arrival on Monday (3) morning called on the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Major General (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne at the office of the Ministry of Defence.

General Oleg Salyukov during the brief courtesy call recalled memories of goodwill and understanding that prevail between two nations. He also exchanged views on matters pertaining to regional and national security.

The discussions culminated with exchange of mementos between the visiting Army Chief and the Secretary Defence. |
