The inmates at Anuradhapura, 'Abhimansala 1' on Wednesday (29) morning welcomed Major General Rohitha Dharmasiri, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni for a routine visit, intending to inquire into their well-being and needs, if any in the new year - 2020.

A wheelchair-ridden disabled war hero, together with the Commandant, Colonel H.P Hettiarachchi at ‘Abhimansala 1’ welcomed the visiting Senior Officer and invited him to call at the wards where 28 disabled war heroes are undergoing rehabilitation and recuperation.

Commander, Security Forces - Wanni as the Chief Guest afterwards gave away gift parcels to all the inmates and spent a couple of minutes with them talking to them. Towards the end of the visit, the day's visitor had a brief interaction with the staff at the ‘Abhimansala 1’ followed by refreshments. He left a couple of complimentary remarks in the Visitors’ Book before his departure from the venue.
