Major General B.V.D.P Abeynayake assumed office as the 30th Adjutant General of the Army Headquarters on Thursday (16) during a simple ceremony.

The new Adjutant General left his signature for an official document, amidst religious observances and symbolized the acceptance of the appointment.

Staff officers of the Branch, officers and Other Ranks were present at the office.

He succeeded Major General Nevil Weerasinghe who is to retire from the Army. |
