Troops of 24 Division along with a group of about 250 civilians representing Muslim and Tamil communities in Majeedpuram and Malwatte areas participated in a mega Dengue Eradication Campaign on Saturday (28).

They cleaned mosquito breeding grounds on roadsides along Malwatte- Kalmunai road (from Malwatte junction to Majeedpuram junction) covering a stretch of about 3.5 km.

The General Officer Commanding 24 Division instructed his troops to minimize the increased risk of Dengue epidemic from Ampara and Malwatte areas. |
