222 Brigade and 22 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (22 VIR) troops, deployed in the 22 Division HQ area organized an event to distribute school accessories to 184 students of underprivileged families learning at Dehiwatte Maha Vidyalaya in Dehiwatte in the East with the sponsorship, extended by 'Future Life Investments Limited' on Saturday (21) .

This charity programme was conducted under the auspices of the Manager, 'Future Life Investments Ltd', Mr Danushka Udugama and his staff in the company with the blessings of the Commander, Security Forces-East, 22 Division GOC and the 222 Brigade Commander.

Each gift parcel contained a school bag, a shoe pair (DSI), clothes for school uniforms, a lunch box, all necessary exercise books for the year 2020 and a water bottle.

Colonel M.G.W Wimalasena, Commander 222 Brigade graced this occasion as the Chief Guest along with the Civil Affairs Officer - 222 Brigade, Commanding Officer 22 VIR and Officers of the Brigade and Battalion HQs. |
