Brigadier Wasantha De Abrew of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry assumed office as the 23rd Director Plans at the Army Headquarters on Monday (23) during a brief ceremony, attended by several Senior Officers.

After religious observances, Brigadier Abrew signed an official document and signified the acceptance of the new office.

Staff Officers of the Directorate and Other Ranks joined the occasion.

He succeeded Brigadier Priyantha Senarathna who has now been appointed as the General Officer Commanding, 53 Division. |
