An awareness programme on ‘Sexually-Transmitted Diseases’ (STDs) was conducted at the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) on Wednesday (4) as part of the ongoing educative programmes, organized by the Colombo Army Hospital.

Over 400 troops at the SFHQ-W and under command formations took part in the programme, conducted by the Public Health Officer at the Field Military Hospital in the SFHQ-W.

The lecture covered areas such as prevention of STDs, transmission of STDs, sanitary habits, scientific and medical analysis, etc. These lectures coincide with the World AIDS Day (1 Dec) and continued until 6 December. |
