The Secretary of ‘Bingu Sampath Surakimu’ Association, Mr Tissa Bandara Thambawita and its officials at the request of Major General Vijitha Ravipriya, Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi, conducted a series of lectures on Bee-keeping as a viable source of additional income to both Army personnel and civilians in Kilinochchi areas during 27-29 October.

Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) expects to propagate the practice of bee-keeping among under-privileged civilians as an alternative income-generating industry at domestic levels in remote areas of Kilinochchi after the troops become professionally trained to handle swarms of bees. |
