Two representatives of the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC) Wednesday (23) evening paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva at the Army Headquarters.

Messrs Loukas Petridis, Head of ICRC delegation in Sri Lanka and Jacques Lemay, Regional Delegate to the Armed Forces of the ICRC during the meeting with the Commander of the Army exchanged views on their assignments in Sri Lanka and the region.

Towards the end of the brief meeting, Lieutenant General Silva, appreciative of their interactions awarded mementos to both ICRC delegates. |
