On the directions of the Commander, Security Forces-Wanni, Major General Jagath Gunawardena, a basic Swimming Course was introduced to Other Ranks during 02-06 September at 4 Sri Lanka Signal Corps HQ in Anuradhapura where the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) Swimming Pool is located.

The course was conducted by Headquarters 21 Division under the supervision of the General Officer Commanding, 21 Division, Major General Kumar Jayapathirane.

A qualified and well-experienced team of Army swimming instructors provided training assistance for this Basic Swimming Course.

Representing all Divisions and Forward Maintenance Area (North Central), a total 51 Other Ranks participated in the course. |
