Making his first formal visit upon assumption of office as the 23rd Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva this afternoon (28) paid a courtesy call on Hon Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees, Colombo 3.

During this courtesy call, the Prime Minister extended best wishes on his new appointment and exchanged a few thoughts with him.
