Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Commander of the Army upon his assumption of office as the 23rd Commander of the Army called on HE the President Maithripala Sirisena, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces this morning (27) at the Presidential Secretariat.

The formal courtesy visit followed a brief meeting in the office where Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva presented a symbolic memento to HE the President on account of his assumption of office as the Commander of the Army. |
