HE the President Maithripala Sirisena, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces this morning (19) handed over the letter of appointment of the 23rd Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva at the President’s Secretariat.

Secretary to HE the President Mr Udaya R Seneviratne, General (Retd) Shantha Kottegoda and a few officials were present during the occasion.
