Major General H.R.K.P Peiris of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers (SLE) took over duties as the new Master General Ordnance (MGO) at the Army Headquarters on Tuesday (2) during a brief ceremony at his office.

He succeeded Major General Jagath Gunawardana who has now been appointed as the new Commander, Security Forces - Wanni.

Amidst blessings of members of the Maha Sangha, the new MGO signed a formal document and marked the assumption of his duties.

Major General H.R.K.P Peiris, prior to this new appointment served as the Chief Field Engineer of the Sri Lanka Army. |
