Corporal Nihal Wijerathne of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and Lance Corporal Buddika Kasun Silva of Sri Lanka Signal Corps were awarded National Championship awards for their achievements respectively in the standard / modified street trail (15 CC) two-stroke and motorcycles MX 250 CC during the National Award Ceremony of the Federation of Motorcycle Sports in Sri Lanka, held at Eagle Lagoon View Hotel in Katunayake, Negombo on Sunday (24).

Mr. Dallas Martenstyn graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and the World Motocross Champion, Mr. Rolf Tibblin participated as the Guest of Honour in the event.

Director, General Sports, Mr. Dhammika Muthugala, Assistant Director (sports) Mr. R.B Wickramasinghe and Project Officer Mr S.P De Silva also participated for awarding ceremony. |
