Major General C.A.M.N Silva (retd) of the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment (SLLI) passed away on Wednesday (20) while receiving treatment at the Colombo Army Hospital, Narahenpita.

His remains are now lying at Jayarathne Florists, Elvitigala Mawatha, Colombo 07 and his funeral with military honours takes place on Saturday (23) at Borella General Cemetery at 2.00 p.m. He was enlisted to the Sri Lanka Army on 20th Aug 1952 and retired on 4th July 1988. |
