Brigadier W.S Rajakaruna, the newly-appointed Director Rehabilitation of the Army assumed office during a simple ceremony on Monday (21) January. He succeeded Major General Shantha Thirunaukarusu who retried recently.

Upon arrival at his office, Brigadier Rajakaruna made religious offerings and received blessings of a few Buddhist monks who had been invited to the occasion.

As ‘Seth Pirith’ chanting continued, the new Director Rehabilitation formally placed his signature for an official document and signified the acceptance of the new office. |
