The opening of the newly-constructed parapet (Bodhi Prakaraya) and the enshrinement of the new Buddha Statue at the 11 Division Headquarters in Pallekele took place on 21 December 2018 during a religious ceremony, headed by members of the Maha Sangha.

Major General Tissa Nanayakkara, General Officer Commanding, 11 Division inaugurated the new wall and unveiled the newly-placed Buddha Statue at the same place.

A Bodhi Pooja at the same place brought the simple ceremony to end.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of the Headquarters participated in the event and paid their homage. |
