Brigadier D.K.G.D Sirisena of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) currently serving as Colonel Commandant, SLCMP and the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and Brigadier U.A.T Hennedige of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), currently serving as Director, Directorate of Psychological Operations, have been promoted to the rank of Major General by HE the President Maithripala Sirisena, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, effective from 18 October 2018 and 31 October 2018 respectively.

A communiqué issued by the Military Secretariat at the Army Headquarters on Friday (2) announced these promotions. |
