Head of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) office in Vavuniya, Mr Marc Soupa during a visit to the Jaffna Peninsula met Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna on Tuesday (16).

The visiting delegate briefed the Jaffna Commander on roles and responsibilities of the Vavuniya ICRC office and how it could be of help to the peninsula too. Similarly, Major General Hettiarachchi explained him on the status quo of Army involvement in community projects and other reconciliation moves.

Before his departure, the visiting delegate left some complimentary remarks in the Visitors’ Book at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J). |
