Two more programmes, organized by members of the tri services to coincide with the National Coastal and Marine Resources Conservation Week got underway at Matara Marine Park and Kalutara Beach on Tuesday (18) separately following arrangements made by the 58 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West).

The event was attended by the troops of 3 (Volunteer) Gemunu Watch and 4 (Volunteer) Engineer Service Regiment. Earlier, a similar project got underway at Dadalla beach front under the auspices of HE the President.

Policemen, school students, state employees and volunteers joined hands together with the Marine Environment Protection Authority and completed the assignment. |
