The newly-promoted Major General H. J Senevirathne, Commandant, Army Training School (ATS) at Maduruoya in conformity with military traditions was welcomed in a military salute on Thursday (13) when he arrived at the ATS after being promoted.

Commanding Officer, Chief Instructor and all Ranks of the ATS presented a salute in a parade after he was greeted to a Guard Turnout at the entrance. He also was invited to plant a sapling in the ATS premises as a symbol of memory. The simple ceremony ended with an all rank tea table. |
