Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-Cen) extended a warm welcome to hundreds of ‘Paada Yathra’ (foot pilgrimage) devotees when they arrived at Linthuna area in Yala on Monday (9).

Troops on the directions of Major General Rukmal Dias, Commander, Security Forces - Central served refreshing drinks and bottles of water to them and inquired into their needs.

Those pilgrims make their way across Yala National Park to Kathragama to attend the forthcoming Esala Festival around the end of the month of July.

Under the supervision of Major General N.D Wanniarachchi, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division, troops of the 121 Brigade Headquarters supported the project. |
