Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) Regimental Headquarters to be in compliance with instructions of the Army Headquarters launched its training programme for senior and junior officers on Thursday (14) at Panagoda.

Professor Harendra Vidanage educated the gathering of 195 senior and Junior Officers on ‘Present Global Defence Environment’ during this session with special focus on present security concerns, continental defence strategies, political developments, challenges and other important aspects, future prospects, etc.

The Regimental Officers’ Training programme was supervised by Major General Ruwan Kulatunga, Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Light Infantry. A fellow-dinner culminated the day’s training programme, the second in the first half of the year.
