All Ranks of the 593 brigade in the 59 division under the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) joined together to mark the World Environment Day, recently by conducting a cleaning programme along the beach patch Kokilai to Chemmali in Mullaittivu.

This programme was initiated under the guidance of the Commander, Security Forces – Mullaittivu, Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru. The project was supervised by Brigadier Ruwan Wanigasooroya, General Officer Commanding, 59 Division.

A gathering of civilians in the area too joined hands with 593 Brigade troops to clean the beach premises.
