Troops serving the 511 Brigade and 515 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J) joined hands together with civilians in the area and conducted a few ‘Shramadana’ projects in the Jaffna town area during 29 April to 5 May.

51 Division troops took part in those ‘Shramadana’ projects conducted at State Home for Elders in Kaithady, Chunnakam Kalaimadhi pre-school premises, Rajarajeshwari Amman Kovil and Manampirei Ancient Pillair Kovil.

In separate programmes at Rajarajeshwari Amman Kovil and Manampirei Ancient Pillair Kovil premises, troops of the 515 Brigade provided assistance to conduct the Kovil Pooja by way of supplying water, transportation and refreshments to visiting devotees for these Poojas.

During the programme at Kaithady Elder’s Home, those elderly inmates were served refreshments and got their hair dressing with the sample of Army barbers. A cleaning project was also conducted at the venue on the same day.
