A simple ceremony in accordance with Chinese traditions marked the inauguration of the construction phase II of the Chinese-funded new auditorium complex at Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) on Tuesday (8).

Major General Rukmal Dias, Commander, Security Forces - Central (SF-Cen) and Commander, Army Training Command (ARTRAC) participated in the event as the Chief Guest in the company of a visiting Chinese delegation, led by Senior Colonel Xu Jianwei, Defence Attaché at Chinese Embassy and several Wing Heads of the SLMA.

After a symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, the Commander, SF-Cen signed the visitors’ book and marked the ceremonial inauguration of the project.
