A high level delegation of foreign envoys, Messrs Nick Clissltt, Senior Security and Justice Advisor and Paul Bentail, Research Analyst of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in London, together with the Deputy High Commissioner of the British High Commission in Colombo during a tour to the North called at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J) and had a formal meeting with Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J) on Wednesday (1).

Later, Lieutenant Colonel Nishantha Muthumala, General Staff Officer I, Operations and Training, SFHQ-J made a presentation on the 'Roles and Responsibilities of the Security Forces in Jaffna and Military Assistance in Post Conflict Scenario' at the SFHQ-J conference hall.

At the conclusion of the cordial meeting, the Jaffna Commander awarded mementoes to Mr. Nick Clissltt and Mr. Paul Bentail as memories of their visit to the SFHQ-J.

Meanwhile, the same British delegation had a formal meeting with Major General Jagath Gunawardena, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 57 Division on behalf of the Commander, Security Forces – Klinochchi (SF-KLN) at the SFHQ-KLN on Thursday (2).

The GOC, 57 Division after welcoming the delegation conducted a presentation on the ‘Military Assistance in Post Conflict Scenario’ in the SFHQ-KLN Area of Responsibility at the same venue.

At the end of the discussion, Major General Gunawardena awarded mementos to both Mr. Nick Clissltt and Mr. Paul Bentail as tokens of goodwill.
