Troops of the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) organized their New Year festival at the SF-E Headquarters ground on Friday (14).

Major General Nandana Senadeera, Commander, Security Forces - East graced the event as the Chief Guest.

Lighting of the traditional oil lamp signalled the formal commencement of the day's event. The ceremony was coloured by traditional games such as pot-cracking, Raban playing etc. The arrangement of the typical Gemi Gedara (Village House) added glamour to the New Year celebration.

Senior Officers, Officers with their family members and Other Ranks serving the SFHQ-E attended the New Year celebration.
