Differently-able Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) War Heroes, working at the SLNG Regimental Centre, Weherawatte, Kurunegala, commenced a project to produce sleeping mattresses, following an initiative taken by Major General A.P. De Z Wickramarathne, Colonel of the Regiment, SLNG in close cooperation with the SLNG Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU).

The project was launched on Saturday (08) in the presence of Major General A.P. De Z Wickramarathne, Colonel of the Regiment of SLNG, Mrs. Ruvini Sujeewa Wickramarathne, Chairperson, SLNG-SVU and several other Officers and Seva Vanitha members.

Later on, Major General A.P. De Z Wickramarathne, accompanied by several Officers went to inspect the library building and the computer lab under construction at the SLNG Regiment Center Headquarters premises and inquired into its progress.

Brigadier D.H.M.W.B Tammita, Centre Commandant, SLNG, Deputy Center Commandant, Senior Officers and Officers participated in the day's inaugural programme.
