Major General L.H.S.C. Silva assumed duties as the new Adjutant General (AG) of the Army on Thursday (30) during a simple ceremony at the office in the AG Branch at the Army Headquarters.

He is the 28th AG in the Army.

Major General Shavendra Silva after placing his signature in an official document symbolized the acceptance of the new office. Several officers were present at the occasion.
