An awareness workshop, organized by the ICRC in Colombo on ‘International Humanitarian Law and Contemporary Challenges’ was conducted at the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ - KLN) auditorium during March 21-22.

Senior Officers serving the SFHQ-KLN attended the workshop. Colonel Mahendra Fernando, Colonel General Staff, SFHQ - KLN, Brigade Commanders and a total of 21 Commanding Officers of the SFHQ - KLN participated in the two-day programme.

Mr Channa Jayewardene, Communication Officer of the ICRC conducted the lectures during the sessions on both days.
