Ms Claire Meytraud, Head of the Delegation, International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Sri Lanka, together with Mr Wilson Mondal, ICRC Vavuniya Regional Head, paid a courtesy call on Major General Mahesh Senanayaka, Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J) on Thursday (19) at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J).

Having received the delegation to the SFHQ-J, the Jaffna Commander updated the delegates on the present situation in the Jaffna peninsula and discussed military relations, opportunities and challenges, associated with the post-conflict environment in the peninsula. He also explained them about ongoing projects, related to the promotion of reconciliation and harmony.

Major General Senanayake before the culmination of the discussion presented a memento to the visiting ICRC Head.
