Brigadier T.J Nanayakkara, the new General Officer Commanding (GOC), 56 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) assumed duties at his office on Monday (2).

The new GOC was greeted to a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour at the 56 Division Headquarters premises by troops of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.

After that, the newly appointed GOC planted a Mango sapling at the Headquarters premises as a symbol of memory.

Several senior officers and other ranks attended the event.
