Major General Renaka V. Udawatte, the newly-appointed, Deputy Chief of Staff on Thursday (15) assumed office amid Buddhist religious blessings.

Major General Renaka V. Udawatte, prior to this new appointment served as the Director General Army Financial Management Branch and Colonel of the Regiment, Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC).

The newly-appointed DCOS signed an official document symbolizing the assumption of office.

Several Principle Staff Officers, Directors and senior officers attended the simple ceremony.
