Commander, Security Forces-East (SF-E), Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi called at Buddhangala Aranya Senasanaya (Monastery), Ampara on Wednesday (7) and met Ven Buddhangala Ananda Thero, a resident monk.

During the brief discussion, the monk opined the importance of maintaining inter-religious co-existence and communal harmony as explained in every religion.

Towards the end of the visit, religious blessings were invoked on the visiting East Commander.

General Officer Commanding- 24 Division was also associated with the event.
