Army Troops Support School Children on Hiking

Troops under the Security Force Headquarters-Central (SFHQ-C) gave their fullest support to a group of students at Kandy Mahamaya Girls’ College who went on hiking over mountainous Dunumadalawa forest range in Kandy on Saturday (26).

In response to a request made by the College, Major General P. U. S Vithanage, Commander, Security Forces-Central instructed Army personnel to assist their endeavours.

11 Division troops of the 5 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Light Infantry, 2 (Volunteer) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 1 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps and 2 Sri Lanka Rifle Corps with female physical training instructors of their respective units offered their guidance and cooperation to the students for the successful conduct of the tower.
