Major General G.R.H Dias, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 12 Division relinquished duties on Wednesday (02) during a simple ceremony at the Divisional Headquarters premises to take up as new Commander, Army Training Command (ARTRAC) at Diyatalawa.

The outgoing GOC reviewed a Guard Turnout presented by 12 Division troops at the entrance to the Headquarters.

After ceremonial formalities Major General G.R.H Dias planted a white sandal wood (Santalum Album) tree sapling to remember the event.

An all rank tea party and a cordial dialog with the troops culminated the day’s proceedings.
