To promote mental, physical, moral aspects and espirit de corps of the soldiers in 65 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi, a series of sports and games were conducted on Tuesday (18).

The certificate awarding ceremony after the games was conducted on the directions of Major General W. A. S Weerawardena, General Officer Commanding, 65 Division attending as the Chief Guest of the day’s event.

Before the start of the awarding ceremony, a cultural dancing team entertained the spectators after the Chief Guest and other invitees arrived at the ceremony.

The trophies and certificates for winners and runner-up teams were given away by the Chief Guest together with Brigadier K. M. R Abeysinghe, Brigade Commander, 651 Brigade and Brigadier S. K Eshwaran, Brigade Commander, 653 Brigade.

Senior officers, Commanding Officers, officers, other ranks and a large crowd of civilians attended the event.
