Army Riders & Drivers Do Well in ‘Commando Challenge - 2016’

Army riders and drivers who competed in the recently-concluded ‘Commando Challenge - 2016’super cross of the Commando Regiment secured leading places in several categories in the open event sector.
The three-day long expedition covering a distance of about 566 km started off from Kandy and finished at Commando Regiment Training School (CRTS) at Kuda Oya before the challenging events got underway at the CRTS 1.68 km long super cross racing track, considered to be the longest and the fastest.
The adventurous Super Cross consisted 10 motor car racing events and 12 motorcycle riding encounters with the participation over 100 competitors, including many renowned veterans in the field of driving and riding.
Organized by the Commando Regiment in association with the SLARDAR, aimed at collecting funds for welfare projects of the Commando Regiment, the event was sponsored by CEAT Sri Lanka.
