Sri Lanka Army Sportsmen and woman who brought pride to the motherland and to their respective regiment during their participation in South Asian Games (SAG) - 2016 which was held in Guwhati, India during 2-16 February.

Army winners in the Weight-Lifting category met Major General H.M.P Mihindukulasuriya, Chairman, Sri Lanka Army Body-Building and Weight Lifting Committee and received his greetings.  

Major General H.M.P Mihindukulasuriya congratulated them for their successful achievements in the SAG.

Medal-winning Weight Lifters are as follows;

Lance Corporal J.A.C Lakmal – 4 Commando Regiment (CR)

Lance Corporal K.C.T Abeykoon – 5 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG)

Lance Bombardier A.G.S Abeywickrama – 15 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA)
